Free Google Photos Takeout Viewer & Organizer
Easily browse, filter, and organize your Google Photos Takeout backup. Restore your timeline, view albums, filter by date or person, and inspect EXIF metadata — all in one clean interface.
100% Private & Offline. Your photos and videos are read directly from your computer inside your browser. No files are ever uploaded to any server — turn off your Wi-Fi and it still works seamlessly.
How to use it
Three steps, about a minute, and nothing leaves your computer.
Download your Takeout
Request an export at Google Takeout and unzip the download. If it arrived as several ZIP files, extract them all into the same folder so photos and their .json metadata stay together.
Select the folder
Pick the parent “Google Photos” folder to load every year at once, or choose a single year folder such as “Photos from 2024” if you only want that one. Your browser asks permission for that folder, and only that folder.
Browse, filter & search
Your library is indexed on your own computer and laid out by date. Group by day, month or year, filter by album, person, camera or type, and open any photo to inspect its full metadata.

100% Free Tool
No sign-ups, no hidden fees and no file limits. Inspect your entire backup for free, inside your browser.
About HEIC photos from iPhone
HEIC and HEIF files are fully indexed with their dates and metadata, but browsers like Chrome and Edge cannot display HEIC images natively. Safari on Mac and iPhone can. Any file your browser cannot render is listed above the gallery, so you always know what is there.
